Dafel: Bloodline
Pagan Games is getting ready to go retro with this title.
2000-07-14
Dafel: Bloodline is an actionpacked adventure game with lots of puzzles. The game resembles the pre-"Ocarina Of Time" Zelda games. The game engine, however, is much more sophisticated than any other 2D RPG engine. The game has advanced lighting and weather effects and is still very fast. According to Pagan Games more than 2000 pieces of snow can be moving on the screen at the same time with no slowdown at all on an 030/50. Other than snow the engine also has fog and rain. The game is non-linear and allows you to go back and forth between locations and revisit locations as many times as needed. Sometimes you might want to talk to characters more than once for more of those vital clues, and this is an important aspect of a RPG game. The game will support graphics cards and has it's own audio system called Full Sensual Gaming (and yes, Pagan Games came up with this name before the Sony Emotion Engine was known alright? ;)) or FSG for short. The audio system allows for clues to be given with audio alone. You'll be able to hear in what direction important things may lie by audio clues. The game should be ready for release within a couple of months and is shaping up to be the most interesting (oh, and the only by the way) game of this type for the Amiga - and possibly any other platform - so far.
